I'd really like to comment on browser wars threads.

For instance, there's a good one here.

IE10 sucks for use as a mod. I don't have all of the mod tools available in IE10, even if I wanted to use it. For example, there is no popup in a user's profile to passport ban, look up IP address, and several others.

I've always preferred Firefox as a user, but as a mod on this forum, it's a no-brainer which browser I'd use.

I also wish that IE10 would get more options. It's pretty inconvenient when using my Surface.

Gee Laura, thanks for using a thread I posted in as an example.

In my opinion, tech team or MN wise, most things Windows related are like a red headed step child. Android and Apple are the favored children.

It doesn't bother me, since I don't own anything RT, and prefer Mozilla anyway (and don't always use Windows anyway). But I see where it would be problematic for RT users.

Are there any browsers beside IE that work in RT?

There were rumors of a Firefox for rt, but so far only rumors. It would be nice if the ie on my surface had those options, but I can still get to the mod tools and do what I need to do.

I heard the rumours but wasn't sure if an actual product materialized yet.

I have modded using IE, just to try it. I posted in the Mobile Nations bug reports, but nobody responded to my thread. I believe i included screenshots. If not, you're welcome to use my screenshots here as examples. I don't mind someone else reusing them if they might help.

Considering that some of us WPC mods are probably the only ones using ie, I doubt it's high on the priority list. Thanks for the offer. If it does become a hot topic I'll be sure to use them.

I guess I am going to have to go back to using FireFox. I prefer IE10 but you do lose some options with it.

I bet if you turn down the security setting on IE it would work right. When I installed no-script to Firefox, I had a lot of things blocked until I allowed some of the 3rd party cookies through. I think IE is just blocking some of the script needed.

Exactly that Palandri. I've added WPCentral, the Google ads service, and MobileNations to my trusted site list and set the security to low... and low and behold...

On my Surface RT, metro IE doesn't work no matter what I do. But on desktop IE, all I had to do was set the level to low on trusted sites. Didn't need to add any sites to the list. So if I feel the need I can just go to desktop mode.

Still unable to get it to work in IE10 on Win7 laptop.

I can't get it to work on my IE10 Win8 desktop unless I add the sites to trusted...
