BT pairing with PC?

doing pairing with PC using the PC util, it says connected.
do not see it saying connected mucic.
on the PC Bluetooth, I do not have it connecting to my phone to play music from Phone to Computer. Wonder if that makes a difference in the pairing type?

Most likely. You're using it to lock your PC when you walk away. I'm looking to pipe the alerts from the phone to the PC when it is BT connected.

The weird thing is that this works better (not 100%) when I am in range of another laptop running Win7 that I own. The drivers are the same, but it works better. One is an HP laptop, the other is a Dell. I'm going to try a Lenovo and see if it is any different. I am wondering if it is coming down to a hardware/stack issue that the diff manufs have implemented differently.
