I have SP3 for over a month. The windows keeps crashing every time it's going to sleep. ID 41 on event viewer. Does anybody else has this issue? I even tried to refresh the installation and test it with almost no programs installed but w/out success.

I'm having issues with the auto rotate function of my SP3 after the latest update. Are you guys having this issue?

Basically, if I'm not using the cover and try to change the orientation, it won't work until I press the power off then on. Then to move back to another orientation, I would have to press the power button again. Needless to say this is quite annoying. I've only had my SP3 for three months. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

Are you guys having any issues with the auto rotate function on your SP3? This issue I've had seems to have started after the last update.

Basically, my auto rotate doesn't work unless I turn my SP3 on and off. Not a reboot but just turning the thing on and off. So I can't get the screen to switch between landscape and portrait without doing that.

Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks!

I've had an issue with my Surface Pro 3 for a few weeks now. Everytime I turn on the device the screen flashes is like a white flash it happens right before the Surface logo comes on and again before the login screen comes on as well. Has anyone else had this issue? If so have you been able to fix it?

My son's Surface Pro 3 had this issue around mid June (i believe it was after an update too), so we exchanged it at the Microsoft store. There seemed to be no hassles so I believe it was something they had seen before.

I've noticed something on my new Surface Pro 3:

Whenever it's been on standby for a long while, I sometimes have to push the power button to get it working again. I then get the Surface splash screen before I can log in. In Task Manager it says the up time is 23 hours, so it's not like it has powered down. Also all apps that I've been using are still open. So really, it's not that big of a deal, I'm just wondering if this is normal behavior? I'm on Windows 10 btw.

Don't know if it helps, but my laptop now does the same thing after Win10 Update. So, it's likely normal operation for whatever the power settings are. Sounds like it's going into hibernate, rather than standby?

My SP3 cannot shut down, it will turn back on automatically after 3-5 minutes after the last update.
This is stupid! Hope this bug will get fix soon. Cos I cannot shut it down when not using it no matter what I do, close cover, sleep mode, shut down, nothing. Uggghhhh

After the last update, my SP3 won't stay shut down. It will reboot 3-5 minutes after turning off.
Same thing happens when it goes to sleep or just turning the screen off. This is very very irritating.
Hope this will be fix in the next update

Anyone having touch issues since the last firmware updates? I'm finding my browser randomly minimizes itself when I touch to click anything within the browser.

This may be already on another thread, but my trackpad will bug out on me sometimes. When I tap to select it's like it stays clicked down and instead of selecting it highlights everything or drags the selected item when I move the arrow. A simple restart will fix this but it's just a little annoying having to save everything and restart.

Did you find a fix my wife's sp3 will not even connect to wifi after the last round of updates.

Try downloading the driver package for the Surface 4 PRO and extract the WIFI and Bluetooth drivers. Install these on the 3. I did that and no longer seem to have any issues (the hardware is the same, the Surface 4 PRO gets newer drivers). Worth a try...

Go into the device manager and remove the Wifi driver. When you reboot, it will reinstall and work. This happened to me once, too, but it was a long time ago.
