Buy the Lumia 900 or wait it out for new release?

I need another phone and I am thinking of buying the 900 now because I am not sure I want to wait till posiibly Nov to get the new one. I played with the 900 when it first came out and thought it was cool but i thought it needed a bit of an upgrade. Since then I heard there has been a firmware update or two. Was it a good enough upgrade to buy the phone now or should I wait?

i am in the same situation, and i am waiting for WP8 cuz it will be updated in the future and has more features... CANT WAIT!!!

It meets my needs and has great apps, but you really can't go wrong waiting. With whatever WP8 will bring to the table you know you're getting fresh software and hardware. The current 900 will stop at WP7.8.

That's my plan... I badly needed a new phone but really wanted to save my upgrade so I picked up a 900 on ebay. Planning on rolling with 7.8 for a while to see all the WP 8 offerings before using my upgrade.

900's aren't terribly expensive on ebay, I paid a little over $200 a month ago for one that looked practically new

Wait for the September 5 announcement. They should give an era on WP8 devices. Then you can decide on Lumia 900 ot wait for 8.

I agree with Sinime. The 900 is an excellent phone but wait a week and you should know if the wait is going to be long or short and you can make a better informed descision then.
