Calendar reminder issue

Hey guys the Microsoft calendar app reminds me of birthday 1 day prior to that date means on 5th June i get reminder of 6th June birthday's .
is this normal?
If no then Anyone know how to show the reminder properly of that date?

That's the way its set up on mine I think its the default. You can go in to the birthday calendar settings on the outlook.com calendar and change that. Also some holidays are set up to remind you several days in advance.

That's how it works on 8.0 too.

In WP 8.0, you could switch off the birthday reminders through outlook.com (just search for it on Microsoft Answers), but it doesn't work with WP8.1DP. These notifications are very annoying, especially because I get three notifications for every birthday (outlook and FB connected), sometime around 12 noon the day before and twice again at 12 midnight (or vice versa, perhaps). The only remedy I could think of was to switch off birthday calendars in the WP Calendar app. No more notifications/reminders, but I can't view the birthdays in the Calendar app.
