Can I get some help with my Lumia 430 after upgrading to Windows 10?

hi, i just upgraded to 10 on my lumia 430 dual sim but i am having serious issues

I am unable to change the background picture on the start screen
and startup is slow

perform a hard reset and update all the apps under store

Elaborate for me.

My 950 would cycle through the sample images. If I selected my own, it would invariably change back to the sample images. After Fridays update, it no longer cycles through the sample images nor does it hold my own selection. Plus, it is eating battery like it's nobody's business.
