Lumia 640 XL Camera Trouble

Can someone help me? I got a new 640 XL on OS version 8.10.15148.160 and the lumia camera is completely rubbish on my phone, what you see on the screen and what you get after shooting is different. All the photos come out really grainy and washed out, and sometimes from the app i can't delete a recent picture Is this a software problem or is my phone a bad unit? because seeing reviews and camera samples, the 640 XL should perform really well

I have no issues personally with either major camera app.
Cameras are my weakness though I have zero idea what do
