Questions regarding people app on Windows Phone 8.10.14234.375

i have purchased a Lumia 532 (Windows Phone 8.10.14234.375) to try Windows Phone. i m also trying hard not to be disappointed with Windows Phone's contact management. i come from another basic phone - a Nokia 301. I converted it's contacts back up file (.nbu) to a csv file somehow and sync it on Gmail.

1) i don't want to sync my contacts on Outlook, Gmail or any other service. i want to save them. how?

2) is there an option to remove save to options under settings completely? i want to save new contacts on phone.

Err.. No.

But you can use this app.

Also, I would highly recommend having your contacts synced to gmail/outlook. it makes things so much easier when you have to get a new phone/your phone crashes/ want to hard reset.

i wish i can stick to my Nokia 808 Pureview and no move to WP or Android. thanks for recommending Temp Contacts

You're welcome. Maybe windows 10 will allow us to save Contacts to our phone.
