Can older version of apps be installed? i.e. metro version of Facebook

I want a Windows Phone 7 device with metro-style apps for historical purposes.

Is there a way to install older versions of apps, in other words, replace the newer apps with older ones?

Keep in mind none of my backups are saved to the Zune client as the PC has a fresh version of Windows on it.

If your phone is developer unlocked, you can sideload the old Facebook app from Windows Phone 7. Just look for instructions on xda forums

Would the XDA forums explain how to "developer unlock" my Nokia Lumia 900?

Currently WP7 developer unlock is not supported anymore from Microsoft. Will look for ways you can achieve this by other means

Besides being a Microsoft user, I am also a collector. I try to keep certain operating systems as they were on the device when I am done with them. For example, I have a Windows 7 laptop that as upgraded to Win 8.1, but when I am done with it, I will downgrade back to the original OS and put it in my collection.
