Can you charge SP 2017 with an SP4 charger?

As the title! The chargers look the same size, and have the same connector, but the newer one is slightly different on the front and has a bigger power marking. I expect they're so similar that it will be ok - but I'd love someone with a technical understanding to confirm.

So can you charge Surface Pro 2017 (i7 256/8 to be exact) with an SP4 charger, and will it adversely affect the long-term battery life?

I have used the SP3 charger a lot and the SP4 one as well. I think the newer one is faster, but that could just be bias?
 
I don't have them both to hand to check, but I do believe I saw they have different power ratings. That's basically why I'm asking!
 
Yes. A lot of reviews will state this. The larger charger, in the U.K and as far as I'm aware, is the 65w version. Either one will do and the 65w is possibly for the i7 SP5 and/or the Surface Book.
