Cannot add Google Mail (Add an account option) after doing soft reset

hi! As I'm still searching for the settings that will prolong my battery life and end my woes I tried a soft reset today on my L925 (hold down power key and volume down button for 15 sec. or so).

After the soft reset, I noticed that google mail needs attention. I tried to see what's wrong but can't fix it so I decided to delete it and just re-add it.

Now, I cannot add the google mail service its just looping to " To add Google to your phone, we will take you to...: :Connect. When I hit connect, it just loops and loops to connect... usually it will open IE.

Any solution here? The experience with this phone is really frustrating. My old Lumia 620 is somewhat better.

As fr battery issues. Try closing background usage for app you don't want to run in background and eat up juice using battery saver app.

Silly me. When I did a soft reset the date and time was change. This was the cause of the trouble.
