Cannot connect Redfly C8N with Xperia X1a

Has anyone had success getting the Xperia X1a to connect to the Redfly (any model)? I've tried the X1 beta drivers and all I get is "Waiting for phone" followed by an error message that the drivers are not installed. I tested the Redfly with my old HP 910c smartphone and it connected with no problem so I'm sure the Redfly is ok. Could there be a big enough difference between the X1i and the X1a to render the Redfly drivers useless on the X1a?

I contacted Celio a few days ago and they asked for some info on my phone and have now disppeared into the ether. I'm trying to decide if I should keep the Redfly or return it since it does not appear to work with the X1a.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

There have been some recent reports about the beta driver not installing on the U.S. released X1a vs. installing OK on the Euro released X1. I'll check into it and post back. I'm sure it won't be too hard to fix.
