Can't copy to Android device

I suddenly can't copy files from Windows over to a Pioneer XDP-100R which is a digital audio player running Android Lollipop. Using Windows 10 Insider Fast Ring Preview Build 15007. When XDP is connected via USB I can see the XDP including internal drive plus SD1 & SD2. I can create new folders on the SD cards. However when I go copy music files (FLAC or MP3) from computer/NAS to XDP there is an audible 'ding' and nothing happens, no message or anything. Everything worked when comp was running Build 15002.

Anyone else come across this? With this specific device or other?

Hi there,

When you connect the Android device, do you get a drop-down in the notification area? If it shows "charging" are you able to tap on it and change it to mass storage then drag and drop files using Windows Explorer?

Yes there is a USB notification that pops up and when I tap it it takes me to the setting where "MTP" is already toggled. If I click on the other option (for photos I think, don't have the XDP with me atm) the two SD cards disappear from Windows Explorer and photos folder on internal storage of the DAP appears. I actually have not performed a "drag & drop", just a r-click copy & paste.

Thanks for the reply. I will continue with troubleshooting when I get home tonight. Also will try on another computer that's running 'regular', i.e. non-Insider, W10. Any further suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having a similar issue. Since I upgraded to 15007, I can't copy folders to removable media and to certain locations on the HDD. I can copy the files from inside the folders just fine, but not the folders themselves. Its driving me up a wall to be honest.

I just tried copying the same music files to the same DAP from my desktop non-Insider Win10. It worked fine. A pop up appears asking if I want to convert the files before copying Yes/No and then it simply copied the files/folders from Windows Explorer to SD card on Android. So methinks it is indeed an issue with latest build 15007 (which is terrible, imo).

I'm glad you got it sorted.
