When viewing my phone's images via the computer I can only see JPG files, not DNG.

Can someone tell me why or are the DNG labelled as JPG?

The DNG file should be in the camera folder with a .dng extension.
You won't be able to view the DNG images before processing and converting them to JPEG.

You need to use a data cable to connect to the pc as a U drive, then you can see the RAW file on the camera roll.

Just to make sure you changed the camera setting to take dng high res photos instead of jpg high res right?

How are you viewing them on the computer? Through windows explorer or through an app?

Try changing the setting to something else and then changing it back to the DNG setting and take a few pics.

Hi!

I was having the same problem but I was able to fix it (with the help of a Nokia agent over the phone).

Like me, you probably aren't getting the DNG option when you go to the settings. I was getting this:

"JPEG (5 MP) + (34 MP)"

It doesn't actually say DNG anywhere in the setting.

This is why when I would access the photos on my PC, there were just two versions of the JPG (high and low resolution).

Turns out I had to update the camera app.

EVEN though my phone was shipped to me with the black update, the camera app itself needed an update.

After that I saw the DNG option in the settings.

Do this and you'll find your DNG files right where you'd expect them :)

And they truly are RAW files btw... I opened one up in CS6 and I was able to do all the Camera Raw adjustments I can do with my Nikon RAW files.

I hope that helped.
