Can't open store, at least 2 days now

I can't open windows store on my Surface 2 no matter how I tried. I restarted several times and even switched to different networks and still I can't open the store. I'm in Singapore and I heard friends in China are suffering the same issue with windows store. What happened? Why windows store often breaks down and there is no word from Microsoft to explain this and nothing has been down to improve this?:unhappy:
