Case or no case

I dropped mine with a feather vase and it only messed up the corner of the case it fell on. Phone was fine but don't know if I trust this case for another drop. Looking at the pure gear brand case

Both, I put it on when I travel and then take it off when I reach my destination. This phone is just too gorgeous to put a case on it.

No case....ever. If I put it in a case I can only look at it's beauty right after I buy it and before I put it in the case, then once more right before I trade it in. Not for me.

I don't have the Icon (I'm on T-Mobile), but I do have the Lumia 810, 920 and 925. I never used a case on the 810 because that thing was super grippy. I have cases for my 920 (first one I ever got was the Incipio dual pro, which is excellent and protects the phone all over). For my 925, I only have an Incipio feather case. I'd say if the phone feels grippy enough without a case, don't get one. If it's more slippery, however, I would definitely say get a case.

Has anyone tried the silicone case from Verizon. I went to a different store and they had it. Looks nice.

The biggest thing I hate about using a case is the pocket lint/dust that collects around the edge of the case. So annoying.

I received the incipio dual pro yesterday and ended up not liking it enough to keep it. I'm sticking to my pouch case for now. Nice to be able to pull it from the case and have it completely bare. I'll keep my eyes open for another case, but for now I'm fine as is. I agree with those posters who commented about dust. Its always a problem with certain cases. Nakedness certainly avoids this.

I have a yellow 64gb 1020 and love the feel and look without a case but one drop will ruin it and the camera hump sticks out so I wanted something to protect that when I lay it down , I found these cases to work really well , they are thin , have a textured back , cut outs for all buttons etc , smooth matte sides that feel really nice , its light and it still shows the yellow and the colour contrast looks great even with the case on ;-) win win win

Nillkin Matte Textured Super Shield Hard Shell Case Cover for Nokia Lumia 1020 | eBay

maybe they do one like it for the icon??

Cheap flip-case off the market. Looking at the scuffs and scrapes on it a year on is validation enough I made the right choice. :)

Even if i like the look of my 920, i always have a case cause i carry my cell on my belt.

Case. Only because I feel like the camera lens got scratched up on an old phone. A case just keeps it off of hard surfaces. I can't do a bulky Otter so any other protection really isn't significant.

I cannot bear the thought of a caseless phone even though a case tends to hide the phone's "personality." I purchased my 1520 online and purchased a case for it the same day on Amazon. When I saw the phone on display at the AT&T store I was stunned by its beauty. I said, "Wow, this is a gorgeous phone," and for a few seconds I did not recognize it as a 1520. My red 1520 is encased in a Yellow Nillikin wallet-style case. It gives me peace of mind.

TPU case for me. just to give me the lay on the table factor without worrying about the screen touching whatever i put it down on.

No case for me. I don't like added bulk and I generally keep it in my pocket if it's not in use.

I don't put a case on my Lumia 920. But, I do put this one on. While it offers no protection against falling, it does give a very nice protection against body scratches. It adds style to the phone with practically zero extra weight. As you can see from the pic below, I am using the red color one. Currently, I don't think WPCentral store has red in stock.
