Cases for Surface 3 that don't trap heat?

Are there any cases that leave the back of the Surface 3 (where the CPU would be) exposed to allow air cooling to work just as if there was no case on?

I need some drop protection around the edges and to be able to get a better grip on the device than you can get with the Surface 3 naked. When I hold the tablet by itself, it feels like it can easily slip out of my hand. The grip is better with the Type Cover attached, but still not fantastic.
I don't want the entire back of the Surface encased and then end up making the tablet more prone to overheating and throttling.

Looks like that would trap heat like any other case. It covers the entire back of the Surface.

Surface 3 (not Surface Pro 3) is fanless. There are no vents. The back needs air exposure for maximum cooling.
I can't see any openings on the back of the case in the photos.
