cell phone repair

I dropped my HD7 one too many times and I am now having an issue with the proximity detector when I'm on a call. As soon as I answer or dial a call the screen goes black and I cannot access the screen at all. The other person has to hang up or I have to pull my battery out to end the call. Anyway, I looked at a couple websites for cell phone repair and they all seem to focus on physical damage to the case, screen and such. Any thoughts on if it could be fixable?? And worth fixing?? I'd love to get a Titan but I'd have to pay full price BC I'm on tmobile.

I would take it to T-Mobile and see what they say.
