Interesting PBS show starting tomorrow called, "Cell Tower Deaths" It's a dangerous job climbing cell towers.

Heck yeah it's dangerous. I used to climb towers to install fixed WiMAX antennas at my last job. Scary as can be!

Nobody has to worry about me getting hurt climbing a cell tower! I'm way to scared of heights to even think about climbing one!

Verizon had a switching station next door to my former office with an active cell tower right on the property line. Wednesdays were training day. Five or six guys would climb to the top and then simulate getting an injured comrade down. Had front row seats. Oh, and my AT&T signal sucked in the building.

A couple years ago I had a BlackBerry Messenger contact who was a tower guy. He climbed those things all the time. Unfortunately, he switched from BlackBerry to something else long before I did, and I lost contact with him.
