Windows Central Question

So i have a lumia 535 no probelms since i bought it, this was until a couple of days ago where i left it on for a full charge over night and took it off when i woke up however when i went to pick it up it felt unusually hot.. this isnt normal and has never happened to me before. Unfortunatly since this point my phone has been unable to hold charge after taking it off at around 8 the phone was 4% battery life at 12. any suggestions what has happened and maybe how to fix it? Thankyou in advance

For resolving heating up prob- Turn off the Wi-Fi, internet or any app...

For longer battery life-
Don't put on the useless live tiles on start screen . It'll effect your phone's battery.

And

Go to battery saver, settings then Choose the options according to the way you get in touch.
Turn off the background process of unwanted apps.

Try to hold the power button and lower volume at the same time while it is connected to the charger. After holding them for about 15 seconds, it should restart.

thankyou, i tried a soft restart earlier but once again after charging the phone to 100% in under 3hours with hardly any use its 4%. turning the wifi off and quiting apps will help improve charge time and might cool down the tempreture of my phone but wont affect the time the battery will last when i actually need to use them

Alright. How about a hard reset :( this would delete your data from your phone so make sure you have a backup of your data (phone, photos, sms messages). Also, you can attempt to restore from the backup.

I'm having the same issue with my Lumia 535. After charging all night, it had just 4%. Afterwards, it could not be charged anymore (guess, it was broken charger port) BUT when i use a bad quality charger (not original), it CHARGES! (however, the touchscreen is unusable as it has a very bad ghost touch. I need work around too. Is it software or hardware problem. :(
