There's been something consistently bugging me about WP8, and I finally remembered what it is!

Can WP8 devices be charged with the power off? Wirelessly or otherwise. It always irked me that trying to charge my Lumia 710 when powered off just turns it right back on again! Even if it is minimal, anything that lengthens charging time is bad.

No, the OS manages battery charging, so it must be booted up. This is why the slide to power down restarts the phone when it is plugged in and powers it down when not plugged it.
