Yah there's something wrong here. Your AC charger should not only charge a fully flat battery, but should charge faster than USB. I'd get a new charger if you don't have an extra lying around.

I've got a spare cable and adapter that came with my old Palm Pre Plus way back in October. I'll try that tonight.
