Configuration Update 30/01/16

Received a reasonably large configuration update today 1020, not sure what it does.
First error I noticed was Media (Videos) all sounded like Chipmunks, but after soft reset all back to usual.
will be interesting to explore +/- of what the update was all about

It wasn't that large, just 20kB

download took a few seconds, restarted for the install. Saw something like migrating your data, step 4 out of 23. Within 5 minutes it was finished

No noticeable change so far

Using 1020, Kenya, firmware is 1424.1001, OS is 10586.63

According to the reports, it was just an update to prepare fast ring insiders for future updates. They even posted a sorry about it here, starting that there was no change log, as it made no changes to the OS.

Although no changes were expected in the OS (since it's just a configuration update), this seems to have fixed the "not charging" issue my L1020 has been experiencing since build 10586.36. Note that my update to 10586.63 did not fix the issue. Since the configuration update, I have not experienced that issue anymore, whereas before that my phone will have to be restarted when the battery drops below 50% to be able to charge it, otherwise it will just say "not charging".

Update: No, the bug is back. False alarm.

it took a little while to download, then installed as a way of system update. but have not noticed anything changed to my phone 640xl lte ds
