Confused about App List

Hello, I am a little confused about the app list. I read on this forum that you need 46/40apps installed in order for the letters to appear, but i only have 36 apps installed in that app list and it is still appearing with letters. Is there anyway around this? I already tried downloading enough apps to get 50 installed then uninstalling them after, but that didn't work, so now im stuck with the letters in the app list. If it helps in anyway, i have the Nokia 920 and i just rolled back the firmware from 1308 to 1249.

As a side note, this only happened when i decided to power cycle my phone. Before i power cycled it, it didn't have the letter list but when it turned back on it had it.

I think once the alphabets appear, they do not get hidden even if the app count goes below the limit.

Yeah, i went digging further into the forums and that seems to be the case. The only thing I can do is do a full reset, which is just gonna take up more time. Hopefully they will add a feature lto turn it on/off in the settings.
