Cortana and my relatives

So today I told Cortana to call my girlfriend, she called the wrong person. Then I told her to call my father and again, she called the wrong person. So my question is, how can I manually tell her who my father, mother, brother are so that she gets the contact right?!?!

I think you can add them to your inner circle and give them those (nick)names. I've added my mom to my circle so whenever I say "call mom", Cortana selects her contact.
