Cortana Doesn't Like You To Be Polite

I was trying to speak, politely, to Cortana and she couldn't understand my replies.
For instance, I would request for her to send a text.
She would ask if I wanted her to send it and I said "Yes, please".
She replied that she couldn't understand what I was saying.
If I remember correctly, I asked her to please do something and she didn't know what I was saying.
If she is to be my personal assistant, then she should be able to interpret polite requests and responses (not just curt/demanding ones).

I don't yet have Cortana but I would hope she would also. I find it natural to say 'yes please' or 'thank you'.
