Cortana in Canada

Cortana is now officially available in Canada with the windows 10 November update, but I can't get it to work. It just keeps telling me that I need to change my language settings to one that Cortana can speak. The speech setting is already on English(US) (English UK is the only other option), and I've tried changing the display language between English (Canada) and English (US), but it does not work. Any idea to get Cortana working in Canada? The search box on my taskbar just says "I'm Cortana. Ask me anything."

Maybe I'm the only one having this problem, but I seem to be unable to download the Canada speech pack... any tips?

I figured it out. Settings -> Time & Language -> Region & Language. Click on the English (Canada) language pack. Click options. Download speech recognition. Then go to the Time % Language settings again after restarting. Then speech. "Choose the language you speak to your device" English (Canada) is now an option there.

I doesn't work for me. Settings -> Time & Language -> Region & Language. English (Canada) was already installed. I deleted it then re-installed it but I never saw the "Download Speech Recognition" option.

aahh.. tap download button, reboot and check for updates il will download from there. in "update & security" settings section .its weird

I had the issue as well. Figured out that needed to reinstall Insider Preview, register with Fast Ring and then i was able to download the language packs and setup Cortana. Worked well. The missed call with Win10 is cool and that worked just as expected.

Definitely confusing! Took a couple days and the phone did eventually find the update after waiting and seeing "failed download" on the speech pack English (Canada)

Thank you for your help but ... nope, nope & nope. It will not allow any other language than English USA.

I've gone on MS support web site and it seems i'm not the only one. And they have not given a satisfactory answer to anyone else either. So prob. a bug that will be fixed later.

I have the same issue on my Lumia 640 LTE running 10.0.14295.1000. I always get Error Downloading whenever I try to download English (Canada) Speech Language Pack. I tried both Fast and Slow Ring. None worked for me.

latest build fixed it . download then reboot for update process.

Just got off of chat with Microsoft support for my Cortana not working. She said Canada is currently not supported for Windows 10M, even though I can find pages that say it is. I closed the page and the chat but I'm trying to find it again. Canada was not listed as currently supported for Cortana. Pretty dumb considering it's still English!

Anyways, my Cortana kept quitting on me since I got my 650 and wouldn't respond. Changed it all to USA and it works perfectly now. Guess we're back at square one with Cortana even though it worked fine in 8.1, eventually....

I'm not in the insider program and not interested in it. I'm on the latest release build.

Build 14356. French Canada. Cortana with the microphone does not work. The mic just won't activate even though I have the French Canada voice module installed. Anybody has the same problem?

Just did a hard reset - no restore, starting from scratch.
Download Canadian Speech - still failing. Retry does nothing..

Hmm....

No Hey Cortana...

might have to use US version
