Cortana Search Box is White

The search box has been white now for about a month. I have tried changing my region back and forth which temporarily changes it back to dark grey it is always white when I log back in. Does anyone know a fix for this without messing about in the registry?

It uses your Windows theme.

Settings > Personalization> Colors > Light or Dark

Thanks but I don't see why I have to have everything dark. This was fine until the Fall Creators update was installed. Guess I'll have to live with it.

Yeah it seems to be an unfinished feature that got released early. I'm pretty sure we're getting a full taskbar redesign (XAML layout with Fluent Design) in RS4 or later, and they'll likely add full light and dark themes for the taskbar then. For now it's just Cortana.
