I have to assume that the default voice will be that of the voice actor who plays Cortana.
I remember reading an article waaay back at the end of the year that she was hired by Microsoft for her voice for some secret project.

I just wanna see it in action already. We know it exist and all but I want to see the animations, the search results and also the voice and communication between the user and device. Do it now!

This may be unrealistic but it would be amazing if she could voice relay messages for me via phone call. She did do all the comms stuff in Halo.
(IE) Me-"Tell my buddy I'm on my way to his house."
Ring Ring Buddy- "Hello?"
Cortana- "Chief (or Will) is en route to your location at x!"
Hangs up.

Maybe even calculates and relays an ETA.

I used to love Halo alot growing up. Lol

That's one of the articles. Seems to be speculation but they did hire her for something at the end of last year.

Edit: Could possibly be for Halo 5, but if you played 4, it seems unlikely.
