The Lumia 950 XL is priced at 62,990 rubles ($956) while weaker Lumia 950 is priced at 56,990 rubles ($865).

The Lumia 930 was about ?450 / $680 when released (in the UK) and the 950 has all the bits that were missing from the 930.
The two phones are going to be in the region of iphone prices because of the their specs.
I'm not saying I'm happy with it though.

I won't pay iPhone prices for a windows device. I'd rather take my money elsewhere. If the 950XL costs more than the Samsung Edge+ and iPhone6S you can be sure it will fail.

There's no way it'll be more, but it's not going to be cheap either.

700 is my cap for the 950XL so if it comes in around 900 no way I'm dropping that much cash for a mid-range looking phone with high end specs.

I'm with Lumious. I'll have to wait a little longer it seems to pick one up. If I can get get enough from the sell of some of my 8.1 and android devices, I won't have to wait as long. But no rush. My phone still rocks.

I very seriously doubt it will be available next week. This has been said more than once, in multiple places, but what is happening October 6th is an announcement. That is not the same thing as a release. Might they? Maybe. I do not think it has enough probability to even consider, though.

Of course, the 920 was only $450 at launch, so it's all about willingness to take total sales over per-unit margins.

I doubt that. I'd bet $650 and $750, or some other kind of $100 split (which is typical of such releases).

700 is my absolute most. Meaning i really would like to pay 400 or 500 for this phone but if say it is listed at 699.99 then i will have to bend as far as that to get it. I really want this phone with the specs and everything it has going on. Plus i never owned a phablet 5.7" screen sounds cool to give it a go.
