Cumulative Update: build 14393.67 Discussion (Redstone 1; Inactive)

Re: Cumulative Update: build 14393.67 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

Thank you Alan, I saw; and downloaded it immediately, I have not had a chance to see its affect for I have a MAJOR Crash issue on a notebook I updated last night....it is in major fail mode:(

I also had a Restart request last night on my 950XL, but after the gears were done spinning, the build was still at 14393.67; so I don't know what that was all about?
Goot googah moogah!!! You sure have had more than your share. Gotta admire you stickin' with it.

Peace. Alan

Hey Cortana works for me! Sweet.

Sadly a text message still doesn't play a sound. About the only thing that's not been working for ages. If the phone is on it makes a sound but not when off.

Re: Cumulative Update: build 14393.67 Discussion (Redstone Branch; Fast, Slow & Release Rings)

works very well on the two 1520 and a 830 in my house...

On my 830, I have not notice any decline in battery usage duration.
One thing I do notice was somewhere during the last few builds, not sure which, the GPS finally works. It never did from the day I bought the phone some 18months ago. Never did through all the builds and soft/hard resets... now I know exactly where I am!!!

Thanks, man! Unfortunately though, I didn't avail of the Extended Warranty when I purchased my phone.

Anybody having wifi issues? My wifi will stop working and a reset will fix it. But then later it'll stop working again.

Man it used to be buzzin' around here - everybody with their phone problems....

THEN everyone got the AU on their PCs and Lap Tops followed by the Cumulative Update.

NOW everyone's gone to the PC/Laptop forums cause THEY all have problems with their PCs and Lap Tops. SHEEESH !!!!! And all the helper types have gone over there with all the walking-wounded because that's where they're needed.

What in the world is Microsoft doing to it's customers?

Orrrrr.......... Is it that I'm the only one that practices Safe Hex? :winktongue:

Come to think of it, my outlook calendar app on Win10M was like that since .5

Sorry to hear that buddy, but welcome to the dead tile club. Mine has been like that for several builds since even before .5.

Mine stopped working since 2 updates ago, when app introduced the new multiview rotating tile.
But it works only on LARGE tile, medium and small are dead still you resize them.
Now I'll try a classic unpin - repin

Wifi issue is still present though in a different form. I can connect to the wifi but but I get no data, I have to restart the phone to get it running.

Well... I really feel left out so I've signed up for Insider Fast Ring on my:
[Win10 Pro x64 v1607 build14393.67] Lenovo ThinkPad Twist
[Win10 Pro x64 v1607 build14393.67] Microsoft Surface Pro 2
because both of them are working fine now, just like my ICON v1607 build14393.67
Maybe I can get some problems goin'. :winktongue:

Lumia 640 - preview release ring. updated to this version, did a hard reset, started with a recent backup, here are my observations so far.

Battery life - excellent! 3 email accounts syncing, facebook updates, FB messenger, Skype whatsapp etc. both on wifi & 4G. also the battery can be now pinned to start. 14 hours and still on 54%

Phone runs cool

message app updated to show (delivered information) right below the text message. very helpful.

I cannot install additional keyboards! any help?

When you're in landscape view and you exit an app that's portrait only using long-press on the back button, the task switcher stays is in portrait mode.
