I am thinking to buy the Xbox One X at the weekend, with only three USB ports and one of those on the front (Don't really want cables round the front) I could be in trouble as I want to plug in an external hard drive, my Kinect adapter and a USB stick (For my Flac files), it would be nicer if I could use a USB multi port adapter and keep everything out of sight, but I haven't ever tried this on the original Xbox One.

Anyone done this, is it working OK?

Yes, I've used an unpowered USB hub on both an original Xbox One and a One S and it works fine. I'm not sure you can plug a Kinect into it though.

For whatever reason Kinect needs to be plugged into the first USB port on the back (labelled as 1, left port when viewed from rear, right port when viewed from front), to access Kinect settings. It works fine however though, you just can't open the settings for it.

Everything else should be fine with a hub. You will need a USB 3.0 hub though, for external storage.
