As battery life was severely worse after the latest update.
Did the Settings / About / Reset My Phone.

That was 45 minutes ago and the gears are still turning on it.

The Microsoft web site said that it may take a while. But this seems long.

Anyone got guidance or experience with this?

Thanks..

Happens to me also.

do the 3 finger reboot. It worked for me.

Volume down + Power + camera button

I did the Volume down + Power at first. While it did reboot, it went back to the Cog Wheel.

Anyway, worth a try.

Thanks. I feel better. They should post that - "It might take a little while for the process to complete" is an understatement.
If I had know that I would have done it later tonight.. Thanks for the answer!

I've been going back and forth on factory reset for battery life problems. One of these days it will aggravate me to the point where I will try it. Good to know what to expect as I'm very impatient.

I reset my phone last night to see if anything improves. I don't mind setting things up again. I think it's fun

LOL. Same here.

I factory reset my Android phone quite often, and even try different ROMs just for kicks.

Would be good if we can do the same with the Windows phone. :winktongue:

NJ, good to see you here. Did it finally boot up?

I thought the bricked ones got stuck on the AT&T screen. Mine is on the gears. Not particularly happy now.

Simply said - IT WORKED - Thank you.
After 4+ hours of spinning gears, I did this reboot, it went to the cog wheels for a few minutes then came back up.

Thanks again.
