Developer Preview and some doubts

i have a lumia 720.My friends update their devices to gdr3 via developer preview .In the site of microsoft it says that when we install the developer preview then we loss the OEM
warranty !!
is it true?
how to find which version of os is running my device it shows nokia amber not gdr2 ??
When i try to update my phone it shows error 80072ee7

The reason why it becomes out of warranty is because if you were going to take it in to get fixed, the tools to diagnose a problem with the device would not be updated to support the new firmware. Nor would a specialist be trained to handle it officially.

Developer previews are made to test new apps for the next version of the OS. We all play with it of course, but it's not meant for that. One little bug can do a lot of damage.

any idea about error error 80072ee7 whn i check my phone update?
 
It happens due to static IP. Try checking for updates using your mobile data if you are checking for updates using WiFi.
