I managed to order the Microsoft Band and I've not receive any shipping nor order notifications till date - yet my charge has already been charged twice! The reason I know my order went through is because I did get a notification from PayPal about the charge.
I contacted them one day after I got the order through to ask what's going on and they said to wait another 4 - 6 hours. 4 - 6 hours later, I still had no sound of my order and they said to wait another 24 hours while they escalate this case. 24 hours later, no sound from them and they said to wait another 4-6 hours while they escalate this case again.
Of course, nothing at all came back even after that.
At this time, I found that my card was charged - no longer just an authorization and this was also reflected so on PayPal. I asked what is going on and they insisted that it was merely an authorization that will drop off. I've shown them proof that it was indeed a charge and they've denied that fact - only one person I spoke to acknowledged otherwise and understood what was the meaning of paying by PayPal.
About 6 days later, a member of the "Escalated Support Team" got back to me about this and said that I will be receiving the Microsoft Band and that it was an authorization, not a charge. I replied and mentioned it was not an authorization and showed proof but also thanked her and told her I wanted to receive the MS Band soonest possible.
A day later, another member of the "Escalated Support Team" replied stating that they have refunded the order. I'll usually be fine with a refund and that's it. But what they did was refund the order, then promptly charge it AGAIN. So basically I've had $199.99 refunded to my card, then $199.99 charged a few minutes later again.
Microsoft is hopeless at running an online store.
