Dismissed Reminder Still Reminds

My Lumia Icon is, now, running Denim.
I don't recall every noticing this, before.

I get a 15 minute reminder (or whatever reminder time, I set), before a scheduled calendar event.
If I hit the Dismiss button, the reminder still goes off at the set time.
Is this a bug or is this how it's supposed to work?
It seems, to me, that dismissing the reminder would, also, dismiss the appointment.

15 minutes is the default reminder... When creating calendar entries switch reminder to none. It still shows on your live tile and your Lock/Glance if you have it forwarded to there, but no audio alert goes off.

I want the reminder, ahead of time.
It just seems like I still get the one, at the time, even if I dismiss.

Another, similar, oddity, that I just noticed...
I had a 15 minute reminder go off, and I hit the Snooze button.
It didn't remind me, after 5 minutes (as was specified).
It still went off, at the scheduled time.
It seems, to me, like 8.1 (or, maybe, 8.1 Update) messed something up, with regard to appointments.
