don't you think it would be nice if MS was to do something really revolutionary on a mobile plateform and push the envelope to have one full OS deep-seeded social network intergration?

Caveat: I effing *hate* Facebook. But everybody and their brother uses it, so if I want to keep up with my friends I have to use it. As for the rest of them, I'm pretty much on a social networking downswing. There's just too much of it.

So that said, I think Microsoft has done that. I can keep up with all my friends on FB without having to install an app or visit their website. And I don't use FB chat. So I think what they've done with the social integration is awesome, and it fits me to a "T".

Now, THAT said, I'm not begrudging you the enhancements you'd like. Getting them implemented won't affect me in the slightest, and whatever brings more users to the platform is a Good Thing. It just bugs me when people misunderstand the purpose of a feature and call it buggy because it doesn't work the way they want it to work; it's not buggy, it's just not designed to everyone's liking.

If you do not use the Facebook it may not be very much clear to you as those who use it heavily.
The Thing about the 'People Hub' I am quite satisfied.. its quick glance..
But the 'Messaging Hub' needs huge improvement... It' Should be RELIABLE." if they do not enable the fb chat then nobody might have complained, but if its implemented but not reliable (sometimes msgs coming and sometimes its not coming) it is really a buggy thingy. If at least it has 'syncronizing' or update option to get those missed messages it would be a great improvement.

This is what they are talking about - Not so much full featured Hub (which would be a dream come true) but a reliable hub especially messaging hub (to do exactly what its meant to do) which is not the case at this point of time.

Ah now I understand. I had the impression that it bugged you that we were hoping for more features because that wasn't the way it was meant to be.

Yeah, I don't get all of the hostility towards People Hub either. It works great for my needs. Much easier than launching and using the full fledged app. Besides, I have a tablet and laptop for maintaining my FB account.

I like my people hub. It's a very simple and quick way to keep up with all of the people in your circle. I normally use the people hub and the me tile for my facebook updates and whatnot. I can see what all of my friends are up to, their pictures, posts and updates, and I can like or respond quickly to them, all from one area, and without having to bring up the facebook app. Even my HTC One doesn't do facebook this efficiently or effectively.

I usually never go into the Facebook app. I never really need to. I think the basic, simple, and quick functions of the people hub are all most people need. If you need more, you can always open the Facebook app. It's great on the go, and quick and simple was the goal. It's meant to be looked at easily and quickly, so you can get back to your life.

For me, I'm glad it's not more complicated or cluttered.

In fact, I cannot depend on the Facebook app too. For some reasons, the Facebook app made by MS is not receiving notification updates regardless of Chat or events. I was hoping for an alternative to the Message Hub by pinning the Facebook chat onto the screen, but it is still not receiving any new message updates at all. I think the whole idea of social integration for Windows Phone is not working as seamlessly as we expect it to be. Social hub is crippled, Facebook message not coming through, I wonder how Windows Phone can compete against with other platforms if this goes on. Even the simple, basic quick functions like sharing a post, seeing who are the people liking the comments, choosing which photo album to upload photos to, etc are totally missing. Hope things will get better soon.

And I think you will need to be online in order to receive messages from Facebook. For some reasons, it does not store offline messages from Facebook.
