Whatever brand we get free at work sucks. I've thought of bringing a coffee maker of my own to work, but that would get expensive the way I burn through coffee when it's good.

Retired civil servant here.
I took over the coffee fund at work some years ago.
Talk about a fulltime job...boss was on my case to work my real job, everyone else was on my case to keep the pot going (including the boss and his boss)
Kind of miss trying pry the 5 bucks a month from the members.
Buying all the supplies.
Listening to the complaining.

I paid the most into the coffee fund at one of my jobs, since I was the one who drank the most coffee!

Fortunately, that also meant I got to choose which coffee was purchased.

I wish every thread was as civilized as this one. Nobody busting somebody else's chops about what brand they prefer, whether they like tea or coffee, etc. If the title of this thread would have been "Do you like iPhone", it would have been closed by now. Now that the NBA season is winding down and my Heat will 3-peat, this is becoming my fave thread.

We keep our empty Starbucks coffee bean bags in the car.
They're good for a free medium mug in the stores for 90 days :smile:
