Only for updates pretty much. Definitely get a little more excited than I do on iOS or Android because updates are so scarce compared to several apps per day at least on those platforms.

I do. Mainly because I don't really know what I'm looking for exactly... Most apps on IOS and Android get substituted in the Windows store.

I usually check if the thing I'm looking for is there, but for some apps you simply go to the developer and that's it, are some pretty interesting thing in the store to check.

I only check for updates if I needed. Other than that I must say I rarely, but sometimes I check what's new.

This.
Also occasionally if I hear about a app that sounds interesting and is new to me.

I do use it. Often checking to see if an app "type" is available such as any AV/malware vendors
