One, Universal apps. Microsoft has bent over backwards trying to get developers to come over.
Just a note about terminology. When Microsoft talk about "Universal Apps" they are NOT talking about apps that run on more than one OS (Windows, iOS, Android), they are talking about apps that run on all three Windows platforms (desktop, tablet, phone).
"Under the 'Universal Windows Platform' concept, Windows Runtime apps for Windows 10 on PC can be ported to other Windows platforms, such as Windows 10 on mobile, and share nearly the same codebase, but with adaptations for the specific device class. Windows 10 on mobile will also, where applicable, share user interface elements with its PC counterpart, such as an updated Action Center and settings menu."

There are separate projects to allow for the easy porting of iOS and Android apps to W10, known Islandwood and Astoria respectively. These are what you were referring to, I believe.
