Download Pictures in Email

Is there any way to set the hotmail and/or google mail to automatically download pictures? Almost everything is HTML these days and it's a pain to tell it to download pictures every time.

Like everything else, will probably be fixed with Mango, the mother of all updates.

I believe Microsoft considers this a feature. Worked the same way with WinMo. Saves data charge when downloading in the background and you don't have to wait for a message to refresh, unless you choose to. Also prevents potential viruses, malware, etc., from unknown junk mail.
