Downloading apps

Is there another way to get apps on my HD7 besides through the Marketplace on the phone? The problem I am having is that the WiFi here is so slow the download drops. An example is it took me over 20 attempts to download the xbox companion app which is 2meg. There is no phone service at this base I am at in Afghanistan so I am using our WiFi. Download speeds on my laptop are generally 4k-7k(yes 'k' and not meg).

When I try that it says the app is already purchased and I can't re-install it.

I just tried it with an app I never used and it did the same thing.
