Dumb question

I'm just wondering if the 1020 came with plastic on the lens itself? It looks and feels like plastic. I don't want to damage the lens prying stuff off in case I am wrong. Lol. Thanks.

But I don't know so I guess that makes me pretty dumb

The Lens is Gorilla Glass and the black casing is aluminium. There was a round plastic cover over the whole thing.
