Hi, I was just wondering how to prevent dust from getting into my ffc?

Would a case a help? Lol that would ruin the loveliness of my phone haha

I ask because I will be getting a brand new Lumia and I want to fry and prevent that from happening again? My Lumia 920 now seems to take really really grainy pics and I can see some dust when i look at that area.

Remember the the FFC doesn't even compare to the back for pictures so it isn't going to look near as good. Unless light situation is really good, there will be grainy pictures. As far as dust, I don't know of a way to prevent it. I have it but it doesn't affect my pictures at all.

Yea I know. That's probably the only thing I hate about my 920 is its ffc haha. It seems worse than some of my older phones lol.

I wouldn't say it is worse. I would def. so though (like other ffc) that you have to be careful when taking pictures. Let's be honest though. It is mostly for video messaging. BTW, here is a short video I did with the FFC.

Mase... you're a cat? Wow. As far as dust goes if you get so much dust in your FFC that it affects the video/pictures you should take it back and get it repaired under warranty. For prevention some cases will help to stop the dust building up around the headphone port (edit: its the speaker grill where dust can sometimes get in) but more recent phones have been fixed so that dust in the FFC shouldn't be possible anymore.

the dust allegedly gets in through the speaker mesh not the headphone socket which is a sealed unit.

I keep on cleaning the grill once a day since it does accumulate dust. Mine is a March model so I guess the fix is already in place but I clean it to avoid issues. I use the corner of a cloth to loosen up the dust and just blow air, its simple and quick

i sent my phpone in to nokia to fix my dust twoweeks ago, received last monday. I think they insert something to close out the pathway that dusts goes through, so far so good.

im in the u.s

Did you buy your 920 from AT&T? Did you send your phone in through AT&T for the dust problem?
