Just finished upgrading my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Trying to configure E-mail for my Microsoft Live account I keep getting the following error:
"Something went wrong... We're sorry, but we weren't able to do that. Error Code: 0x8007000d"

A quick internet search did not reveal a solution. Does anyone here have any ideas?

Was able to work around it. When adding the Live.com account to E-mail I clicked on "Other Account" instead of Outlook.com, put in my E-mail address and Password and all appears to be working.

I just downloaded and installed Windows 10 and when opening my Mail app and Calendar app got the same error 0x8007000d. The way I repaired this was to open Command Prompt (Administrator) and enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth. Once this completed all is well. I tried the method used by you to select Other Account but that didn't work. Hopefully others will benefit from my findings.
