Edge dropping out to Start page?

For the last few weeks my Edge browser will just drop out to the Start page all by itself.

Will be looking at a web page and BAM it's gone and I'm at the Start page. Have to re-start Edge and go back to where I was and BAM it drops again, perhaps immediately but usually after a minute or so. Sometimes longer.

Anyone else having this type of problem?

Anyone know a solution?

are you an insider? did you do a soft reset?

I was in the Insider program but dropped out and installed the consumer Windows 10 which has been upgraded to the Anniversary Edition. I have the latest edition of update(s). I had to do that because the Insider Editions conflicted with my Vive. That was a few months ago now.

I did a hard reset and the problem remains. In fact I have an alternate browser called UC browser installed on the phone and it crashes too the same way.

I suspect my phone is broke somehow. Everything else seems to work though but browsers crash constantly.

Maybe you should try uninstalling the UC Browser and then reinstalling it.
