Emails no longer beep or vibrate unless in Action Center

One thing that irks me is that emails no longer have a notification sound or vibrate unless you have them showing in the Action Center. The settings are grayed out unless you do. I personally don't like to fill my Action Centre with emails because I get so many, and I prefer only my app notifications in there... I hope they fix this otherwise people in my situation have to put up with that. :-(
