Empty box icons?

I noticed when I go to the second menu the one with the "Settings" the icons for the first letters(ex: a, b ,c etc) are different then the others which are hallow boxes which wasn't there a few hours earlier .I know when you download a bad app all the icons turn into empty boxes but I haven't downloaded anything while I was sleeping so maybe it was an update any ideas?

I think you have more than 45 apps, so you now have the alphabet tags. It is supposed to happen, its not a bug.

the alphabet tags are useful for navigating the app list. If you tap an alphabet, it brings up the whole alphabet and you can tap on an alphabet to go to apps starting with that alphabet.

I also noticed some of my pinned stuff is gone off the main menu.

Oh, 45 apps are installed on the phone , you can remove a few and those jump boxes will disappear.

have 44 or less apps on the phone and they should disappear.
I cant remember actually if its 45 or 35 :/

Nope. Even if you remove them, the jump list will still be there. Hard reset is the only way to go.
