Enabling Cortana in WP 8.1

Im in the UK and I'm wondering how to enable Cortana

1. Would I have to change the region etc. to US before the update happens?

2. After the update, will I be able to change the region back to United Kingdom or will this get rid of Cortana?

3. Can I change my region to US whilst I'm running WP 8.1 using the UK region settings to use Cortana?

Download the update. Install the update. Change the region to US. Reboot. Cortana will be available.

Seriously, before or after, it doesn't matter. As long as the region is set to US, Cortana will be available.
