trying to install the new update through windows update and keep getting this error, tried deleting the cache and redownloading the update with no luck, also disabling AV and removing any USB attached with no use, anyone know how to repair this issue? Thanks

I don't have a solution, but there is a workaround if you check out the 'released to fast ring' thread. Basically you download the ESD file, use decryptor tool to generate the ISO, and then run setup from the ISO. I had two devices both giving update errors and they both updated fine using this method.

Figured it out follow the instructions here

1.Open Command Prompt by Start -> Run and type “cmd“
2.On the Command Prompt, type “net stop wuauserv“. This is done so that you will terminate the windows automatic update service to allow us to delete the cache files
3.Still on the Command Prompt, type “cd /d %windir%” or “cd\windows“
4.Type “rd /s SoftwareDistribution“
5.Thats it, the cache has been purged. Now we need to restart the windows automatic update service again. To do that, type “net start wuauserv“
6.Or go to this link: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=971058

Point 6 finishes with an error and cannot make any correction.

I made than point 1 to 5. I restarted the Windows Update and had again the same error 0x80070241 after the download. It seems to be related with an old update of Windows Defender. Windows Defender has already definition, but Windows update always try to update the last already update definition or same times even an older before the update of version 10041.

It's probably why the version 10041 cannot not be updated, it breaks before with the Windows Defender.

That's only my opinion
